Notes from the heart…

Throughout my life, I’ve occasionally taken time to share some of the music that’s inside my head. Generally, I’ve focused on arranging it for whatever musicians were at hand at the time.

Small ensembles, church choirs, family and friends… whoever I could convince to take the notes and turn them back into sound.

And when those were unavailable, I’ve experimented with digital reproduction.

Chris’ Music

Then, Covid came along. Churches music needs changed, I had time to learn new things, and there were some great online specials… I invested in a digital symphony orchestra, and started using that to give voice to my music.

I still write my music onto a score, although that’s been digital for two decades, but I now I have a wealth of options for taking the notes from the staff and making them audible.

Now, my challenge is to collect everything from the various places it has been published and put it all in one place so that it’s easy to share.

First up is an album that I’ve just released called Whanau. To help me celebrate this new web site, you can download Whanau for free. You’ll find it in the Albums section below…
